Training - If you're
looking to hire candidates from our network, we offer three
programs that can help offset training cost for new hires:
* On-the-Job Training (OJT) program enables
businesses to hire qualified candidates from our network,
with little or no experience, and employers will receive a
reimbursement of 50% of the wages during the training agreement
from three months up to six months. Training new hires can
be costly. With our On-the-Job Training programs, you can
save time and money. For details and qualifications, please
call Mario Pena at (209) 724-2046.
* Expanded Subsidized Employment (ESE) is
a program run in coordination with our partners at the Merced
County Human Services Agency (HSA). The program can help reimburse
employers 100% of the hourly wages for six months, when they
hire a qualified candidate from the HSA network. To speak
with our representative and learn more details of this program,
please call Jaime Gutierrez at (209) 724-2122.
*
Job Skills Placement (JSP) is a non-paid
program, run in partnership with our Merced County Human Services
Agency, that gives job seekers an opportunity to gain new
skills. This is similar to a non-paid internship program,
and employers can use this program for weeks or up to six
months, depending on the individual selected. Our Employment
and Training Specialist, Jaime Gutierrez at (209) 724-2122
can provide you more information.
Layoff/Rapid Response Services -
Our team of professionals can conduct on-site sessions where
employees can learn about job search techniques and reemployment
and training opportunities in case of job displacement, and
employers are provided with information to sustain and retain
jobs to avert layoff within Merced County. Our Rapid Response
team can help alleviate the impact on your business and your
staff with onsite planning and orientations.
